What is Tarot?

And how can you use it to best serve you (& your money)!

What is Tarot?

Tarot, and Oracle decks, are what's known as divination tools. Tarot readers are the ones who interpret the cards messages, and they do so on behalf of others (& sometimes themselves)! Each reader tends to have their own style to interpreting the cards, and some even go as far as to stylize in specific types of readings (self help, romance, fertility, physical health, finance, etc).

Tarot is ultimately another perspective to a situation you're curious about. Sometimes I like to describe it as a helpful bonk on the head, or a pat on the back depending on the outcome.

What kind of reader is Maevyn?

I specialize in open ended questions relating to self-help, healing, and even romance! Typically anything involving people is something I can easily look into. I can also look into business matters and academics, but I wouldn't call myself an expert in these areas.

I do not do questions regarding: physical health, money, fertility, or mental health diagnosis related questions.

I ultimately aim to help others see another perspective to a situation, and/or look deeper beyond the surface.

What kinds of questions should I ask for my reading?

The best kinds of questions to ask me are open ended questions! You'll know if your question is open ended if the answer is not "yes", or "no" - aka binary questions.

Examples of binary questions are:

  • Will I get my job promotion?
  • Will I meet my soulmate?
  • Am I burnt out?

Taking these same examples, let's turn them into better questions to ask the cards:

  • What can I do at work to help get my promotion?
  • How can I attract my soulmate?
    • Or:
    • What traits do I need to develop in order to attract my soulmate?
  • What are some warnings signs that I am starting to burnout?

If you're ever worried about whether or not your question is a good one, you're always welcome to send an email to maevyn@crystalhaven.me
